Boston, MA, MAY 10, 2012 –FeedHenry, (www.feedhenry.com) provider of enterprise mobility solutions for the development, deployment and management of mobile apps announced today that it received first place in the Enterprise and Vertical Market Solution, General Business category for CTIA’s annual Emerging Technology (E-Tech) Awards. FeedHenry was recognized for its innovative mobile application platform-as-a-service (PaaS) that enables enterprises to deploy, integrate and manage mobile apps securely to mobile devices.

Commenting on the award, FeedHenry’s CEO, Cathal McGloin said, “We are delighted to win first place in the E-Tech Awards for Enterprise and Vertical Market Solutions. Winning this award gives a strong vote to FeedHenry’s technology. It underlines the importance of giving enterprises a flexible easy way to build mobile apps, and manage the entire ecosystem of deploying and integrating the app into existing enterprise services. When you add to this the need to host apps securely in public or private clouds, it’s important for an enterprise to quickly and nimbly develop a mobile app strategy. With this award, FeedHenry was recognized for addressing the market pain with a Platform-as-a-service solution that give enterprises an easier way to build, deploy and integrate mobile apps for business.”

The CTIA E-Tech Awards awarded the most innovative new products in 15 categories spanning the areas of mobile apps, consumer electronics, enterprise and infrastructure. See release for full list of winners: http://t.co/Km8vQRaN

March 6, 2012, MUNICH, Germany.
Telefónica Germany is making a new platform available that companies can use to develop, manage and market their own mobile apps. These applications will only need to be developed just once, but will still run on smartphones that use all important operating systems. This new service is made possible thanks to an exclusive partnership with the company FeedHenry in several Telefónica countries. The service will launch in Germany in March 2012.

With the new developer platform, companies can create their apps easily via a graphical user interface or programme them with standard web technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript and CSS. The apps can be made available for nearly all modern smartphones with just one click. Android, iOS, BlackBerry, Windows Phone and Nokia’s operating systems are all supported.

In addition, business customers will be given access to numerous functions that will allow them to manage and operate their mobile applications in the cloud. The apps and all related services will be hosted by Telefónica Germany Online Services (TOS), whose German data centres meet the highest standards. TOS also offers complete solutions for the planning, building and running of apps. Rounding out the offer are secure connections via VPN and HTTPS as well as toolkits for security and encryption.

“Smartphones and tablets are experiencing an unbelievable boom, and this mobile revolution contributes in a critical way to our customers’ business success”, explained Johannes Pruchnow, Managing Director Business Telefónica Germany. “Therefore, companies need flexible and efficient solutions to develop and manage apps, if they want to use these huge potentials in their sales approach and process optimisation. With our new service we offer them all of the requisite tools from a single source.”

The new offer was taken from the portfolio of the new global business division called Telefónica Digital and is already been marketed successfully in Ireland and England. It is the result of a global partnership with FeedHenry, a provider of cloud-based mobile applications. The platform is cost-effective, secure and scalable. With regard to the partnership, O2 handles customer service as well as contracts and billing. FeedHenry, on the other hand, is responsible for the platform and contributes its application development expertise.

FeedHenry, in partnership with Cloud Foundry, offers cross-platform mobile development solution fully integrated with a Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) backend

Boston, MA and Waterford, Ireland – March 06, 2012 – FeedHenry, (www.feedhenry.com), provider of enterprise mobility solutions for the development, deployment and management of mobile apps has just launched its Mobile Application Platform on Cloud Foundry

The majority of new application development is being done “mobile-first”. However, developers are building mobile frontend applications separately, and integrating with backend services manually. To leverage the benefits of PaaS for mobile applications, developers need a way to develop, deploy and scale these cross-platform applications on the PaaS in a seamless manner.

FeedHenry’s mobile application platform is the only cloud-based mobile application solution that allows developers to build HTML5, JavaScript and CSS apps with a fully integrated Node.js backend on Cloud Foundry. Developers can now use the FeedHenry solution to build and deploy mobile applications for many smartphones and tablets with backend functionality hosted on their CloudFoundry.com account.

“We are seeing a shift to mobile-first development within enterprises, which requires their PaaS solution to provide an integrated mobile development and deployment platform,” said Jerry Chen, vice president of cloud and application services at VMware. “FeedHenry’s cross-platform mobile development solution can make it easier and faster for Cloud Foundry™ developers to build and deploy these applications.”

“Mobile apps are transforming how and where information is being consumed and how customers interact with organizations”, said Cathal McGloin, CEO, FeedHenry. “FeedHenry and VMware have partnered to bring a valuable solution that can enable developers speed of deployment, instant scalability, device and cloud independence with the ability to easily integrate to backend information.”

Developers can start building mobile applications today on the FeedHenry platform at mobilecf.feedhenry.com. New Cloud Foundry members can register and enter promotion code “feedhenry” while existing members gain immediate access from their account.

Full Story:
RSA Conference 2012 – San Francisco – Feb. 28, 2012 – Leading-edge mobile technology providers and developers are collaborating with RSA, The Security Division of EMC (NYSE: EMC) to build additional layers of security and access control into next-generation mobile solutions by integrating RSA mobile authentication technology into their products. RSA mobile authentication technology is designed to enable innovative mobile use cases that incorporate strong security without sacrificing usability.

The rapid adoption of smart phones and tablets among consumers and employees has ushered in a new set of security and data privacy challenges for organizations. For application access, these challenges are divided into two core categories: the first is remote access to a corporate network from a mobile device and the second is ensuring trusted access to an explosion of new applications purpose-built for mobile platforms. Security and access control is a paramount concern in each of these scenarios and is being uniquely addressed with innovative new implementations of RSA authentication technologies that leverage the special attributes of mobile platforms to help authenticate mobile devices and their users.

Working in collaboration with RSA, mobile technology providers are integrating RSA mobile authentication into virtual desktop, virtual application, and VPN solutions to secure access to traditional network environments. Additionally, a number of developers in mobile application management and device management tools are seamlessly integrating RSA mobile authentication technology natively into mobile business applications. RSA mobile authentication solutions are designed to provide little to no impact on the mobile user experience while still maintaining strong authentication by using risk indicators powered by the RSA® Risk Engine. These indicators include factors such as device identification, geo-location, behavioral profiling, and real-time fraud data from the RSA eFraudNetworkSM community. RSA mobile authentication solutions also ensure strong step-up authentication to one-time-password or other methods is possible, buty only applied when necessary.

RSA mobile authentication technology is at the core of a developing mobile security partner ecosystem, providing tools to be embedded into mobile applications to help protect both login and post-login user activities by measuring risk indicators to identify high-risk and suspicious activities. Popular use cases include protecting mobile access to online banking, e-commerce, virtual desktops, VPNs, and enterprise mobile applications. RSA mobile authentication SDKs have been designed to be embedded directly into partner products to offer easy developer access and implementation.

RSA is working with the following Secured by RSA Certified Mobile partners to provide native integration of RSA mobile authentication technology into enterprise applications and networks:

Citrix has embedded RSA mobile authentication technologies into Citrix Receiver™, an easy-to-install client software that, together with Citrix XenDesktop® and Citrix XenApp™, is designed to enable mobile users simplified access to their enterprise desktops, apps, and data from any smartphone, tablet or laptop.

Node Summit, San Francisco, CA – January 24, 2012 – FeedHenry, the developer of cloud-based mobile application solutions, has launched the first enterprise mobility solution that allows developers to build HTML5, JavaScript and hybrid apps with a fully integrated Node.js backend-as-a-service. It is the first commercially available mobile app platform-as-a-service that allows developers to use the same JavaScript skills to build a mobile app client and powerful backend functionality that leverages the non-blocking, event-driven I/O architecture of Node.js. By building in one code base developers increase their efficiency and speed app development while cutting the costs of deploying apps for multiple mobile platforms.

In the FeedHenry studio, developers can now build highly complex and visually stunning mobile apps using HTML5 and JavaScript that will run as native apps on all major smartphones and tablet devices. These apps can be developed using any third-party JavaScript library or HTML5 UI/UX toolkit and connect through RESTful API calls to a fully integrated server-side backend. This server-side business and integration logic is developed in Node.js using Javascript. Developers can use any of the standard FeedHenry APIs for integration, caching, storage, or encryption and are free to include other third party JavaScript libraries.

At build-time, the client code is pushed to a build farm where the native binary is created; the server-side code is staged with a single command to the FeedHenry cloud or to any public or private cloud supporting Node.js. The mobile application platform automatically synchronizes the app client with the Node.js backend and provides automatic scaling, for the entire solution as well as built-in redundancy, security, lifecycle management and reporting.

FeedHenry is one of only 35 companies selected to compete in the Node Summit’s NodeJam, January 24-25, 2012 in San Francisco. FeedHenry was also named as one of the winners in Yankee Group’s “2012 Mobility Predictions: A Year of Living Dangerously”. FeedHenry’s enterprise development platform was listed as a winner alongside Antenna Systems, Pyxis and Salesforce.com’s Heroku in the category “HTML5 Will Cross the Enterprise Tipping Point.”

“As enterprises mature with their mobility initiatives and start getting into more sophisticated apps where they need complex integration with the backend and the cloud, the play will shift to the server side,” said Cathal McGloin, CEO, FeedHenry. “The server side will become a crucial part of every mobile initiative as enterprises see how much more they can do with apps to increase revenue and boost employee productivity. Apps are fast becoming the new tool within organizations, but with that there’s the headache on the server side with security, scalability, performance and management. With Node.js, FeedHenry’s mobile application platform offers an easy way to build mobile app solutions for the enterprise that takes care of the server side functionality.”

FeedHenry is the only company to offer a fully integrated suite where developers can build the client side code and the server-side code using JavaScript and deploy to any Node.js environment with a single push. FeedHenry helps enterprises go from concept to prototype in six to eight weeks.
